Overview

The Fragiacomo Boutique is a sophisticated architectural response to the heritage of an iconic Italian luxury brand. Spanning 100 square meters, the project was envisioned as a “Contemporary Gallery” where high-end footwear and accessories are elevated to the status of curated art. Arel Studio focused on creating an intimate, exclusive atmosphere that balances opulence with restraint, ensuring the brand’s artisanal roots are reflected in every architectural detail.

The Sculptural Wall Narrative

The internal facade of the boutique is defined by a series of fluid, wave-like walls that eliminate sharp corners, creating a seamless and organic flow. We utilized a soft, smoke-blue palette for the vertical surfaces, which serves as a serene backdrop for the bespoke display systems. The interaction between the curved walls and the floor-to-ceiling brass pillars creates a rhythmic architectural enclosure, guiding the customer through the collection while providing a sense of spatial depth and constant discovery.

Bespoke Retail Innovation

Innovation in this space is centered on the custom-designed “suspended” display modules. Arel engineered slim, gold-finished vertical supports that hold velvet-clad shelves, giving the products a weightless appearance. The ceiling features a dramatic, organic cutout that mirrors the floor’s curvature, housing a sophisticated lighting system that mimics natural skylights. The integration of high-gloss marble flooring with matte velvet accents creates a luxurious tactile contrast, ensuring the environment feels both grand and welcoming.
